The FLSO presents An Afternoon in Spain.

The Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra will present their first concert of the year on Sunday October 20th at 3 pm at the UnitedPresbyterian/Baptist Church of Canandaigua, 11 Gibson St., Canandaigua NY. 

Themed an Afternoon in Spain it will feature guitar soloist Matthew Ardrizzone who will play the Concierto de Aranjuez composed by Joaquin Rodrigo for guitar and symphony. 

Also being performed is:
Capriccio Espagnol by N.Rimsky-Korsakow Op 34
Carmen Suite No. 1& 2 selections by Georges Bizet
Jota Aragonesa by Glinka

This concert season is under the baton Dr. Rachel C. Lauber who was recently retained as the Music Director of the Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra. She has served as Music Director of the Livingston Symphony Orchestra and Conductor of the Detroit Symphony Civic Orchestra.

The Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra is a nonprofit musical organization made up of musicians from across the Finger Lakes. Presenting concerts in Canandaigua and neighboring communities since 1971.
