Canandaigua, NY-Farmers markets, CSAs and home gardens are overflowing with fresh, local produce. One of the best ways to extend the harvest is by learning home food preservation methods. Hope Galens, Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Local Food Educator will lead a class on how to correctly freeze sweet corn for beginners.  Join us for a fun-filled, hands-on, step-by-step class that will explain how to correctly freeze sweet corn so it can be enjoyed all year long. Participants will leave with a prepared container of fresh, local sweet corn to freeze at home.

Fee:  $20 per participant; participants are asked to bring their own apron
