Building "The Swing" - Airigami Artists In Residence Workshops iCal

Monday, July 8 2013 1:00 AM - 1:00 AM

Sign up now for the Airigami Artist in Residence event at the Phelps Arts Center and help build a Once-in-a-lifetime Exhibit! In keeping with the Phelps Sauerkraut Weekend theme "It takes a village", the community is being asked to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build something great with Airigami Artists Larry Moss and Kelly Cheatle, the artists responsible for the "Fantastic Flying Octopus" launched at Sodus Point a few years ago.

The build will be Saturday, July 27th, 2013 thru Wednesday, July 31st, 2013. Call the Phelps Arts Center to reserve your slot!   We anticipate a 5 day build. Teams of about 5 people will sign up to work with the two artists for a three hour shift in either morning or afternoon. From 12 to 1pm each day of the build, both teams for the day will join the artists for lunch. We have roughly 40 slots left for community involvement in the build. A $25.00 fee covers lunch as well as the training and participation in the event. Crew members are encouraged to come to our opening night reception on August 1st from 7-9pm and rejoice in the results! Call 315-548-2095 for workshop openings!
