100 Days of Entertainment in the Park iCal

Sunday, June 2 2013 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

The daily 100 Days of Entertainment in the Park series in Historic Downtown Canandaigua continues with the :

Official 100 Days Kick-off which includes a proclamation by Mayor Polemini, dedications and tributes, and special performance by Officer Wayne Fenton on the bagpipes. A tribute to Canandaigua Lake, Lough Canandaigua, written by James Farrell for the bagpipes in 1996, was recently found by his family after his passing on January 1, 2013 at the age of 89.  Mr. Farrell, originally of Caledonia, loved to summer with his family on the shores of Canandaigua Lake.  It was his favorite place in all the world. He looked forward all year to playing his bagpipes over the water. What a fitting way to celebrate Canandaigua and its 100 year anniversary.
