The Master Gardeners' of Yates County are hosting their annual Yard N' Garden Day for anyone who is ready to think about Spring!
 
Workshop speakers will discuss plants that are native to this area, how to garden with those native plants, gardening for water quality, how a changing climate affects home gardening, and the nuts and bolts of companion planting.  Companion planting is the close planting of different plants that enhance each other's growth or protect each other from pests.
 
Following the workshop, all attendees will receive several FREE vegetable and flower seed packets.  This workshop is open to the public. Fee is $12 per person, which includes one set of handouts and refreshments. To be held on: Saturday, March 23, 2013, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Yates County Auditorium, 417 Liberty Street, Penn Yan. Pre-registration is required.
