Sunday, December 16 2012 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
A fundraiser to support those affected by Crohn’s disease and Colitis will be held Sunday, Dec. 16 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Tinker’s Guild, 78 Franklin St. in Auburn, N.Y. All proceeds from the event will be donated to research efforts by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. The event is hosted by two young professionals, Kate Pinckney and Maggie Gotch, who work at the same company in Syracuse, N.Y. Both Pinckney and Gotch’s sisters are battling with Crohn’s disease. Abigail Gotch, 22, from Syracuse, N.Y., and Colleen Pinckney, 25, from Auburn, N.Y. have been fighting the disease since they were both diagnosed at a very young age. Since diagnosis, both girls have had many surgeries and have been in and out of the hospital numerous times each year.
