High blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart attack, stroke and heart and kidney failure. “It is vital that everyone in our community knows and understands what their blood pressure is. An abnormal blood pressure reading should not be treated lightly; we provide education about potential health consequences. If someone has an abnormal reading, we strongly recommend that they see their primary care physician and if they do not have physician, we provide them with physician referral information” comments Modera.
