DESCRIPTION:Annie Get Your Gun, Irving Berlin’s classic musical about champion sharpshooter Annie Oakley’s search for stardom and romance in Buffalo Bill’s world-famous Wild West Show, will be presented at the historic Ohmann Theatre in Lyons, NY on Friday, August 3 at 7:30pm and Saturday, August 4 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm.
With the help of Irving Berlin’s dazzling and unforgettable score which features such musical theatre classics as “There’s No Business like Show Business,” “I Got the Sun in the Morning” and “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better),”  this rip-roarin’ battle-of-the-sexes between the feisty, yet loveable, Annie Oakley (Mariah Virts of Lyons) and the arrogant, yet dashing, Frank Butler (Caleb Miraglia of North Rose-Wolcott) comes to life to side-splitting, heart-rendering effect.
Throw in the hilarious antics of the scheming Dolly Tate (Olivia Howard of Newark),  the wise-cracks of general manager Charlie Davenport (George Bastedo IV of Clyde-Savannah), the masterful showmanship of Colonel Buffalo Bill Cody (David Perry of Lyons) and the forbidden romance between knife-thrower Tommy Keeler (Matthew Combs of Marion) and his doe-eyed target Winnie Tate (Brenna Griggs of Marion), and Annie Get Your Gun is sure to be the bulls-eye hit of the summer!
Annie Get Your Gun features a cast and orchestra of 27 young adults from the Lyons, Newark, Marion, Sodus, Palmyra-Macedon, North Rose-Wolcott, and Clyde-Savannah school districts. The production is directed by Gregory Maddock of Lyons, musically directed by Kayla Mayou of Sodus and choreographed by Alisha Schneider of Lyons, with pit direction by Patrick Tyler of Lyons, costume design by Ryan Masline of Wayne and scenic design by Kris King of Clyde.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
