SUMMARY:Military & Veterans Appreciation Event & Car Corral
LOCATION:Watkins Glen International Gate 3 - outside the "Ninety"
DESCRIPTION:A new Car Corral to be held Sunday, July 1, 2012 as part of the Military & Veterans Appreciation Event at Watkins Glen International Race Track, during Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen race.  This casual car corral (no judging!) is open to veterans and non-veterans. The first 75 vehicles will recieve a commemorative dash plaque. Military Vehicles are needed for display, as are motorcycles.  No fee; donations toward expenses accepted.
Military & Veterans Appreciation is a day full of outreach activities aimed at sharing information with the local military and veteran community and families, with health care professionals, mental healt care providers, education & employment speicalists on-site to answer questions.  Active Military and Veterans with ID (and guest) are admitted free to the event and the race, with lunch, kids' activities, drawings and more.

Watkins Glen International is hosting special track corrals for Corvette, Camaro, Porsche and other marque clubs; contact mevranian@theGlen.com, 607-535-3486 x351 to make club arrangements. Individual examples of these cars welcome at the veterans event,
Vehicles are asked to stay in the corral for the duration of the event until 2 p.m. This is a rain or shine activity.
