DESCRIPTION:Wells College welcomes Sir Peter Crane, Yale University's Dean of the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and 2013 Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar, for a lecture titled "The Future of Plants." Crane&rsquo;s work focuses on diversity of plant life, its origin and fossil history, its current status and its conservation and use. He is a member of the Royal Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; his latest book, "A Biography of Ginkgo: The Tree that Time Forgot," is forthcoming.
The talk will take place at 4:45 p.m. Monday, February 25, in the E. Margie Matthew Filter Hostetter '62 Lecture Room, 209 Stratton Hall on the Wells College campus. The event is free and all are invited to attend. For more information, visit www.wells.edu/events.
