Preserving fruits and vegetables gives us the opportunity to enjoy the harvest all year long. This class is designed for individuals who are interested in learning how to can and freeze local fruits and vegetables but don't know where to start. Learn about different home food preservation methods such as: canning, pickling, jams and jellies, freezing and drying; what equipment is needed for each method and the costs involved. Find out when different fruits and vegetables are ready for harvest and how to obtain what you need to get started.&nbsp;Fee: no charge as it is an informational workshop.&nbsp;However, registration is required.
