DESCRIPTION:To commemorate the history of the Eagle Scout Award and the significant achievement it symbolizes in a young Scout&rsquo;s life, the Seneca Waterways Council Boy Scouts of America is hosting a Centennial Celebration Dinner on October 10th. &nbsp;The event will highlight the Eagle Scout Award&rsquo;s strong legacy nationally as well as local Scouting achievements.&nbsp;&nbsp; Among the guest speakers will be the national Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America, and Distinguished Eagle Scout, Wayne Brock.&nbsp; 
WHEN:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; October 10th, 2012
Reception at 5:30pm with dinner program beginning at 6:30pm

Area executives and community leaders, all Eagle Scouts themselves, are among the volunteer leadership organizing the centennial celebration.&nbsp; They include:&nbsp; Mayor Thomas Richards (City of Rochester),&nbsp; Philip Saunders (Saunders Foundation) serve as honorary chairs with Dwight &ldquo;Kip&rdquo; Palmer (Palmer Food Services) serving as event chair.&nbsp; David H. Klein (Excellus, Inc.); Harris &ldquo;Bud&rdquo; Rusitzky (Greening Group); Charles Levengood (Seneca Park Zoo); Robert Kessler (Woods Oviatt Gilman); Jeff Halik (Roberts Communications); Gerald McCue (Merrill Lynch); Frank Strong (Trillium Group); Louis A. Langie, Jr. (retired &ndash; Chase Manhattan); and Council President, Ronald Knight (Harris Interactive) are also lending their leadership to organizing the event. 
CALL FOR EAGLE SCOUTS:  Seneca Waterways Council is also looking for all Eagle Scouts currently residing in their service area, which includes Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Seneca, and Yates counties.&nbsp; Any Eagle Scout regardless of the council in which they earned their Eagle rank, are asked to contact Seneca Waterways Council 585-241-8556 to reconnect with fellow Eagles Scouts and Scouting.
