SUMMARY:Demonstration Garden Open House

DESCRIPTION:The Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension (SCCCCE) Master Gardener’s are hosting an open house at their new demonstration garden on Tuesday, August 28th from 5:30 to 6:30PM.  The garden is located at the east side of the North Seneca Ambulance building on North Road in Waterloo.  
Come and see what the master gardeners have created in the last six months.  What was once an empty field now has 12 raised beds full of vegetables and other smaller plots of vegetables scattered in the fenced in area.  Master Gardeners will be there to answer questions and show the public what they can do in a small space.  
Also, there will be fresh veggies, dips and marinated beets, all made with veggies from the garden for sampling.  Come and see what varieties were grown, see what methods of mulch worked and didn’t work and get your gardening questions answered.  
In case of rain, bring an umbrella and tour the gardens anyway.  Sampling will be done in the covered area behind the building.  Please park in the back parking lot of the ambulance so as not to block any emergency vehicles.
