Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports the arrest of Sarah A. Manchester, age 33 of 1406 Pre-Emption Rd. Penn Yan, NY 14527. Manchester's arrest stems from an investigation into several incidents which occurred on September 5th 2013 and started at a Town of Junius business. It is alleged that Manchester stole a wallet out of a purse at the business and then used the female victims credit card at business locations in the Town of Seneca Falls, the Town of Waterloo and also at a business in the Village of Penn Yan. Manchester, who is currently being held in the Yates County Jail on charges from separate incidents which occurred in Yates County was produced to the Town of Seneca Falls Court on September 25th 2013 to be formally charged and arraigned for the crimes she allegedly committed within Seneca County. Manchester was arraigned on the following charges by Seneca Falls Town Jus tice Mahoney:
Two separate counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree along with one count of Identity Theft 2nd degree which occurred in the Town of Seneca Falls. Bail set $500.00 cash bail or $1,000.00 secured bond.
One count of Grand Larceny 4th degree which occurred in the Town of Junius. Bail set $1,000.00 cash or $2,000.00 secured bond.
One count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree which occurred in the Town of Waterloo. Bail set $1,000.00 cash or $2,000.00 secured bond.
Manchester is scheduled to re-appear before the Town of Seneca Falls Courts Justice Mahoney on October 1st 2013 at 9:00a.m. for further court proceedings. Information relating to the use of the stolen credit cards in Penn Yan has been turned over to the Penn Yan Police Department for any further investigation.
