Bike and Car Collide in Bloomfield

On 08-15-13 at approximately 1151 the Ontario County Sheriffs Office, Bloomfield Fire and EMS and Finger Lakes Ambulance responded to a bicycle motor vehicle accident located on Cr30 at Wheeler Station Rd in the Town of East Bloomfield.

Upon an investigation it was found that a vehicle north bound on Wheeler Station Rd, driven by Douglas Burlingham, failed to yield the right of way to a bicyclist Joseph Tally who was east bound on County Rd 30. This caused Tally's bike to strike Burlinghams vehicle in the drivers door.

Tally was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by East Bloomfield ambulance with complaints of pain throughout his body.

Burlingham was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way and will appear in the Town of East Bloomfield at a later date to answer to the charge.
