Waterloo Man Charged With Criminal Mischief

On Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 02:40 AM the Waterloo Village Police Department arrested Steven J. Picchi, age 27, of 32 Clark Street, Waterloo, on the charges of Criminal Mischief 4th degree (2 counts), Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment 2nd degree.  Picchi is accused of breaking a door while entering a residence and while inside the residence he allegedly got into a verbal altercation with a person inside.

 Picchi allegedly then pushed the resident causing them to fall onto a young child inside the home.  Picchi is also accused of grabbing the phone from the homeowner, throwing it on the ground and stomping on it while the homeowner was attempting to call the police.

Picchi was arraigned in Waterloo Village Court were he was remanded to the Seneca County Jail on bail.  An order of protection was issued for the homeowner and the young child.  Picchi is due back in court on June 5, 2013.
