The City of Canandaigua Police Department charged Zakarie E. Damato, age 26, of 125 Grove Drive Building 9 Apartment A, Canandaigua, with multiple counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree and identity theft in the third degree.
Damato is accused of stealing several items from the YMCA including wallets, credit cards, cash and electronics over the course of the last several weeks.
He was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash $100,000.
Further charges are pending.
