Medical Problem Causes Accident in Phelps

On 01/14/13 at or about 4:19 PM Ontario County Sheriff Deputies investigated a three vehicle personal injury accident that occurred on State Route 88 at the intersection of Mary Street in the Village of Phelps. It is believed that Lawrence J, Langdon was having medical issues who was north bound on State Route 88 and crossed the center line striking Marlene A. Barber's vehicle which was stopped facing south on State Route 88 waiting to make a turn onto Mary Street. Marlene's vehicle was then pushed backwards into Bo T. Lysell's vehicle which was stopped behind Marlene. Lawrence was transported to Clifton Springs Hospital by Phelps Ambulance for further treatment. There was no evidence of anything other than a medical issue. All parties involved were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. No citations were issued. Phelps Fire Department also responded to the scene. State Route 88 between State Route 96 and Spafford Road was closed for about an hour. At 4:15 PM Lawrence was also involved in another personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred just south of the second accident on South Newark Street at the intersection of State Route 96. Lawrence had rear ended Stephen R. Catlin's vehicle which then struck Peter Premyslovsky's vehicle which was in front of Mr. Catiin's vehicle. Lawrence then backed up and struck Kimberly J. Midler's vehicle before leaving the scene which then led to the second accident.
