The City of Canandaigua Police Department charged Ralph C. Melton Jr., age 21, of 151 Willow Street, Newark, with attempted robbery in the second degree, a class D felony.
Melton is accused of being at 28 Antis Street when he brandished what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from four people inside of the residence. He left after a brief verbal altercation. No one was injured during the incident and nothing was stolen.
He was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash $20,000 bond.
