On 10/24/12 at about 7:19pm Ontario County Sheriffs along with Bristol Fire& Ambulance and Finger Lakes Ambulance were dispatched to County Road 32 at the intersection with State Route 64 in the Town of Bristol for a reported personal injury MVA. Upon arriving Deputies observed a red 1998 Ford F-150 pickup truck to have traveled off the east side of the roadway and collided with a utlity pole and a tree. Deputies deptermined 51 year old Mark S. Bowser of Naples, NY was operating the vehicle south on County Rd 32 when his vehicle failed to navigate a bend in the roadway and subsequently crashed. Mr. Bowser is not suspected of being impaired while driving. The cause of the accident is believed to be either medically related by Mr. Bowser and or a possible brake failure by the vehicle. Mr. Bowser suffered a minor head injury and complained of back pain. He was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital in the City of Rochester and is expected to make a full recovery. Deputies will issue Mr. Bowser traffic citations at a later date after they discovered his license to be suspended and the vehicle's registration to be expired.
