On 09/21/12 at 4:14 PM, Ontario County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Plastermill Road and Delray Drive in the Town of Victor. A vehicle, a 2007 Dodge Nitro being operated by Scott Rolfe, was traveling in a Westerly direction on Plastermill Road. Another vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet Tmpala being operated by Matthew Morales, was stopped on Plastermill facing an Easterly direction and was waiting to turn north onto Delray brive. Morales stated he took his eyes off the road to look at his instrument panel and proceeded to turn onto Delray Drive, directly in the path of Rolfe's vehicle, causing a collision. The airbags in both vehicles deployed. Victor Fire assisted at the scene and extricated Morales from his vehicle, Victor Farmington Ambulance also assisted at the scene and checked over all involved parties. No one was injured and all parties were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision. Morales was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
