Curve in Road Takes Down a Flat Bed Tractor-trailer

On 07/10/14

Mr. Jones was involved in a 1-car motor vehicle accident while traveling North State Route 14A in the Town of Seneca, near the intersection of Redman Rd. Mr. Jones failed to reduce his speed enough for a curve for the loaded flat bed Tractor-trailer, causing it to overturn on the curve. The trailer then struck a utility pole off the east shoulder of the highway.

Mr. Jones was taken to Geneva General Hospital, by Fingerlakes ambulance, for a back injury.

During the course of the MVA investigation, some medicine bottles were discovered in the vehicle Mr. Jones'

was operating. Some of the pills were determined to be Lurica, a controlled substance.

Mr. Jones was issued an appearance ticket for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance - 7th, a UTT for Failure to reduce his speed for a curve, processed at the Ontario County Jail, and subsequently released. State Route 14A was closed for several hours, between Lake to Lake Rd and Redman Rd while Red's Auto removed the Tractor-Trailer and cleaned up the lost cargo.
