Young Man Caught Weaving and Littering Accused of DWI

Sheriffs deputies arrested the defendant for DWI following a traffic stop on Rt 5 in Canandaigua. The defendant was observed weaving in the lane and crossing the yellow line. He was then observed throwing a cigarette from his vehicle. The defendant failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. He submitted to a breath test which showed him to be over the legal limit. He was issued citations for DWI, failure to keep right and littering. Charges will be answered in the Canandaigua Town Court.
