Man Accused of Walking out of Walmart with Unpaid Goods

Gregory Essman was arrested on 02/21/14 at or about 1721 hours. He was arrested at the Canandaigua Super Wal-Mart located at 4238 Recreation Drive in the Town of Hopewell. He was charged with Petit Larceny, a class a misdemeanor. He was arrested after store security observed him conceal items in his jacket and leave the store without making payment. The value of the 3 items taken was $83.35. Mr. Essman was issued an appearance ticket and released. He will appear before the Hopewell Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
