The investigation into a pedestrian being struck by a car at the intersection of South Main and Niagara streets in Canandaigua late Friday afternoon continues.
A passenger car was traveling north on South Main Street and was approaching the intersection of Niagara when it struck a woman that was attempting to cross South Main from the east. Canandaigua Police say the woman was attempting to cross the intersection at a time when the passenger vehicle had a green light. The woman was also outside the crosswalk at the time of the accident. The unidentified woman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
