Monday Morning Update:
State Police have not yet released the details on a crash late Friday afternoon that shut down Routes 5 &20, the Waterloo-Geneva Road.
Traffic was detoured around the accident for about 4- hours. The crash involved two passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer.
The crash occurred near the Inland Harbor Marina.
The tractor-trailer ended up on its side and was across Routes 5&20. Hazmat crews were called to the scene because of leaking fuel from the truck.
56-year old Lori Bonacci of Waterloo was driving one of the vehicles, the other was operated by an 18-year old Waterloo woman. The truck driver was 32-year old Christopher Vitello of Canastota. All three were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Routes 5&20, the Waterloo-Geneva Road, was closed to traffic for about four hours Friday afternoon.
Just before 4:30, a tractor-trailer and two cars crashed near the Inland Harbor Marina in the town of Waterloo.
Border City and Waterloo Firefighters, Seneca County Sheriffs Deputies, New York State Police, and North Seneca Ambulance responded to the scene.
No word yet on injuries. Hazmat crews and the DEC were called because of liquid leaking from the tractor-trailer.
