The Auburn School Board held its reorganization meeting on Monday. Kathleen Rhodes was elected board president and Joe Sheppard was approved as vice president.
Rhodes said on Tuesday’s Finger Lakes Morning News she’s excited about leading a very talented and diverse group of board members.
District Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo commented on the board’s decision to form an advocacy committee to continue lobbying efforts for Foundation Aid funding from the state.
Both said district officials and teachers will continue to provide the best education possible on what Rhodes called a shoestring budget.
