Just when you thought it would be easy again to travel between Geneva and Waterloo.
Next Monday, July 9th, West River Road will re-open after a month long repair project on the Kendig’s Creek Bridge. Fayette Town officials and residents last month were unhappy with the lack of prior notice given by the county for the detour.
Now, the New York State Department of Transportation has installed large electronic road signs on Routes 5&20 in Waterloo saying starting Monday you should expect delays while 5 &20 is repaved. The DOT has been stopping traffic for the past week as they prepare the road for the paving project.
