Trooper Nicholas Clark is being remembered in many circles following word of his tragic death Monday morning in Steuben County.
Clark was a two-time New York State wrestling champion at his high school alma mater, Canisteo-Greenwood. After receiving a wrestling scholarship to the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, Clark returned home and attended Alfred University, where he excelled in football.
Monday afternoon, the University released this tribute to the 29-year-old.
Trooper Clark, of Troupsburg, joined the state police in March 2015 and served as a trooper in both Troops C and E. His returned to work out the state police barracks in Bath in 2017.
Trooper Clark is survived by his father, Anthony Clark; mother, Theresa Gunn; and brother, Nathan Clark.
