Edith C. (Schroo) Sinack, age 82, died peacefully on Friday (June 15, 2018) at Newark Wayne Hospital with her family by her side.
Friends may call from 5 – 7 p.m. on Monday (June 18) at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday (June 19) at St. Francis Church in Phelps with Father Peter VanLieshout officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Mrs. Sinack was born on April 9, 1936 in Clifton Springs, N.Y. the daughter of the late Peter and Doris White Schroo. She was a member of St. Francis Church. She enjoyed camping and gardening. Mrs. Sinack was a member of the Chatty Crafters and was an Avon Rep for many years. She retired from Midlakes High School where she was the baker. She was fantastic grandmother to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons Paul (Dorria) Sinack of Phelps, Peter Sinack of Phelps; three daughters Carolyn (Robert) Allen of Newark Janet (Jery) Barilla of Clifton Springs Barbara Sinack of Phelps, 4th daughter Linda (Mark) Light of Phelps; sister, Catherine (Charles) Anderson of Phelps; brother, Richard Schroo of Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Dick” Sinack two sisters Shirley DeRuyter and Alice Barry great-grand-daughter, Lilly DeVelder.
