Buffalo’s Keith Wofford was nominated on Thursday as the GOP’s preferred candidate. The Harvard Law grad said in his acceptance speech if elected his priority will be battling the state’s chronic political corruption problems.
New York City Public Advocate Letitia James was chosen by the state Democrats.
Republicans chose former banking executive Johnathan Trichter to take on Democratic incumbent Thomas DiNapoli for state Comptroller. DiNapoli was nominated by the Democrats on Wednesday.
