Two convicted sex offenders have been arrested by Bath State Police following a joint investigation with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
38-year-old Victor Pfund and 31-year-old Sean Battle, were allegedly found to be in possession of electronic devices with unregistered screen names and/or user accounts. As sex offenders, Pfund and Battle are required by the state to register any online persona they use. Both men were charged with failing to register and were sent back to Steuben County Jail, where they were already housed on warrants for allegedly violating the terms and conditions of their parole.
Pfund is a Level 2 sex offender after being convicted of having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl in 2013, also in Steuben County. Battle is a Level 3 sex offender, the most serious category. He was convicted on a charge of rape in 2007 in Steuben County for forcible sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl.
