Five Ontario County residents have been arrested following the investigation into the fraudulent return of over 3-HUNDRED stolen video games.
38-year-old Jason Sigel and 30-year-old John Fayard, the Second, both of Canandaigua, along with 29-year-old Jeanine Kochmer, 29-year-old Shane Maxwell, and 27-year-old Dalton Krug, all of Victor, were charged with falsifying business records.
The group is accused of making multiple returns of stolen video games to the GameStop stores in the Victor, Canandaigua and Monroe County region between March and May, claiming the games were their personal property. The five allegedly would steal the video games from the Victor Walmart and Target stores before taking them to GameStop. Investigators say the group was able to collect over 2-THOUSAND dollars from GameStop that should have never been paid to them.
Members of the group are also facing charges for the larcenies.
