The 3rd annual Women’s Right to Run 19K is set for tomorrow in Seneca Falls.
The 19-kilometer race is not a normal race distance, but in Seneca Falls it’ a nod to the 19th Amendment to the Constitution which gave women the right to vote. There will also be a 5k race.
The 5K begins on the campus of the New York Chiropractic College, the 19K starts on the Airport Road off of Martin Road just south of the Empire Farm Days site. Both races end at the old Seneca Knitting Mill next to the canal in Seneca Falls.
Proceeds from the races will be donated to Girl on the Run and the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
Awards are given to the top three runners in 10-different age groups.
