It’s the awards season in Cayuga County.
The Chamber of Commerce will recognize Chamber members for their unique contributions to the economy and overall development of the county at the Chamber Awards Luncheon on Thursday, while the Auburn/Cayuga NAACP will hold its 51st annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Friday, May 11.
The theme for the evening is “Empowering Our Youth to Remain Steadfast and Immovable”. The event will reaffirm the group’s commitment to empower local youth and prepare them for a better future and the keynote address will be delivered by Brandiss Pearson, the Founder and Facilitator of the “I’m Possible Dreams Mentoring Program.”
Both events take place at the Springside Inn. Tickets for the Freedom Fund Banquet must be purchased by this Friday. For ticket information contact NAACP Chapter President Eli Hernandez at (315) 529-2260 or Treasurer Anthony Jones at (315) 283-2243. You can also get information by email.
