A Syracuse man in facing a felony mischief charge after breaking a window at the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters building.
At approximately 7:30 am on Wednesday, a Sheriff’s Office employee sitting at her desk was startled when a man approached her office window and began yelling obscenities. The man then allegedly used a motorcycle helmet to shatter the large glass window before fleeing from the scene.
Deputies quickly caught up with the man, who was identified as 56-year old Willie McClendon (56) of Syracuse.
McClendon was taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief in the 3rd degree. He was being held at the Justice Center pending an arraignment in Syracuse City Court.
