Governor Cuomo announced on Monday $2.9 Million in Lake Ontario Flood Relief funds have been awarded to local governments in five counties, including Cayuga County, for restoration and recovery efforts following last year’s flooding.
The Village of Fair Haven was hard hit by the flooding. Deputy Mayor Walter Krehling tells Finger Lakes News Radio the village will be helped by the $400,000 headed their way.
He adds this extended wintry weather has raised concerns, but so far so good.
The State has committed $95 Million to recovery efforts to support homeowners, small businesses, and community infrastructure in the five counties along Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River.
