Charges have been filed against the driver involved in a one-car accident Sunday afternoon that has left a 17-year-old Phelps girl in guarded condition.
21-year-old Justin Palombi faces multiple charges including unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, reckless driving and driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was traveling north on South Marbletown Road in Phelps Sunday shortly before 5 when he lost control of his car while rounding a curve. The car left the road, struck a tree and utility pole. Palombi suffered a hand injury.
His passenger, Kaitlyn Ingerick, had to be extricated from the car. She is listed in guarded condition after suffering leg fractures, facial lacerations, and fractures.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.
Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a crash in Phelps that that seriously injured a teenage girl.
Just before 5 last night, 21-year old Justin Palombi of Phelps lost control of his car on South Marbletown Road. The car left the road and struck a tree and a utility pole. Palomi suffered a hand injury. His passenger 17-year old Kaitlyn Ingerick also from Phelps, had to be freed from the wreckage. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital were she was listed in critical condition last night.
The accident remains under investigation.
