City of Auburn department heads wrapped up their budget presentations at last night’s City Council meeting. Among them, City Clerk Chuck Mason, who said on Friday’s Finger Lakes Morning News Municipal Utilities Director Seth Jensen kept his budget plan to a 0.4% increase while asking for additional staff, including a grant writer.
Thursday’s early morning fire at a vacant Sheridan St. home came up during Fire Chief Joe Morabito’s presentation.
City staff will continue to tweak the overall budget before a public hearing at the May 24th council meeting.
City Council is scheduled to approve the final spending plan for the 2018-2019 fiscal year at its meeting on June 7.
