Cayuga Counseling Services has received $200,000 in grant funding to hire a new case manager in Auburn.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Monday the agency is one of 86 in the state receiving federal and state funds to improve services for crime victims. The funding will be spread out over a three year period, with an option for an additional two years.
Governor Cuomo said the grants “will support the addition of new staff at victim assistance programs across the state, help the healing process for crime victims of all ages, and further our efforts to support a stronger, safer New York for all.”
Gov. Cuomo’s announcement came at the beginning of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
