Power is out across much of the west side of Auburn, including the Cayuga County building. Traffic lights along Genesee Street are out. Motorists should treat all intersections without signals as four-way stop intersections.
County Administrator J. Justin Woods tells Finger Lakes News Radio the special meeting of the Legislature scheduled for 6:00pm has been cancelled.

Strong winds have led to widespread power outages in Cayuga County. NYSEG reported late Wednesday afternoon approximately 1,200 customers were without power in Auburn, Owasco, Aurora, Brutus, Mentz and Sempronius. By 5:00pm, the number was down to 371.
RGE was reporting 450 customers were without power in Cato, Ira, Sterling and Victory.
A high wind warning issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect until midnight Wednesday. Wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph.
