Bernice L. Wilbur age 90, died on March 29, 2018 at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home.
Friends may call on Tuesday (April 3) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cheney Funeral 70 Main Street Phelps. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Deacon Bob Cyrana officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Bernie was born on July 11, 1927 in Clifton Springs, N.Y. the daughter of the late Edward and Nettie Bremer. She lived in Phelps her entire life. Bernie was an active member of St. Francis Church in Phelps and volunteered for many years at the Phelps Community Food Cupboard and Finger Lakes Visiting Nurses. She worked with her husband Charles in Surge business for 35 years before retiring.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Gary) Lilyea of Penn Yan; daughter-in-law, Jody Wilbur of Canandaigua; grandchildren Mike Lilyea, Emily Zaleski, Rebecca Russell and Holly Kelly; great-grandchildren Joe, Adam, Julie, Matthew, Lizzie, Garrett, Ava, Gio and Jonze.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1993; son, John Wilbur in 2015; brothers Harold and Richard Bremer; and sister, Lucille Eider.
