
The Finger Lakes region will share in about 600-THOUSAND dollars in state agricultural funding. The New York State Agricultural Experimental Station in Geneva will receive 260-THOUSAND dollars for malting barley research and 40-THOUSAND dollars for site improvements for the Institute for Food Safety.
15-THOUSAND dollars each has been earmarked for the New York Wine and Culinary Center in Canandaigua and for the Finger Lakes Wine Alliance for promotion purposes. The New York Wine and Grape Foundation in Canandaigua will receive 200-THOUSAND dollars to support its NY Drinks NY program, another promotional arm for New York’s wine and grape industries.
The City of Geneva will also receive around 12-THOUSAND dollars to purchase an open burners range and two dry storage cages, which will be used in the city’s KitGen, a shared culinary incubator production space for tenants
