A high-speed chase in the village of Bath Friday night sent three people to the hospital. Village Police observed a pickup truck traveling erratically along streets in the village.
As officers attempted to pull the truck over, the driver took off at a high rate of speed. As the truck was traveling near Lake Salubria, it struck another car in the rear. The driver of the pickup, 21-year-old Harley Lyon, of Campbell, was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital and released. He was charged with felony reckless endangerment and unlawfully fleeing a police officer. Lyon was sent to Steuben County Jail with additional charges pending.
The occupants of the other car, 19-year-old Daniel Wurzer, of Bath, and 19-year-old Blake Thomas, of Alexandria, Virginia, were taken to Corning Hosptial, where they were treated and released.
