A 27-year-old Penn Yan man was arrested on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop in the village.
Penn Yan Police were notified by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office of a car heading into the village that was involved in a larceny of prescription drugs. The car, driven by Zeth Martz, was pulled over on Elm Street. A search of the vehicle turned up several prescription drug pills matching the description of those allegedly stolen, as well as, hypodermic needles and a rock-like substance that tested positive for ecstasy and methamphetamine.
Martz was jailed on two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
