Cayuga County legislators voted 13-1 on Tuesday night to hold a public hearing next month to get your views on giving them a pay raise. The Citizen reports Elane Daly cast the only negative vote, while Tucker Whitman was absent from the meeting.
Lawmakers haven’t had a raise since 2005. The draft resolution currently being considered would change the local law and bump their annual salary from $10,100 to $15,000.
The public hearing will be held at the next legislature meeting on April 24.
