Manchester and Shortsville firefighters responded to the Limestone Estates Mobile Home Park on State Route 96 in Manchester Monday afternoon for a mobile home fire.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered a fire at a mobile home owned by Cassy Gillet of Phelps , with extension involving two neighboring mobile units. Clifton Springs units were called for mutual aid and the fire was placed under control in about 30 minutes. The quick work by firefighters limited damage to the two neighboring mobile homes. No injuries were reported with one adult male and a pet dog escaping one of the home’s safely. The initial structure was heavily damaged and unable to be occupied as a result of the fire.
Investigators are still looking for the cause with the initial belief being the fire originated on the front porch and spread into the mobile home.
