Kevin Henderson has picked up the endorsement of the City of Geneva Democratic Committee in his bid for Ontario County Sheriff.
The committee cites Henderson’s 30-plus years in law enforcement in giving him their nod.
Henderson is running against Greece Police Sergeant and Victor Town Councilman Silvio Palermo, along with Bristol Supervisor Bob Green, to replace retiring Sheriff Phil Povero.

(Geneva, N.Y) The City of Geneva Democratic Committee unanimously endorsed Kevin Henderson, Canandaigua, N.Y. for Ontario County Sheriff Tuesday evening (March 20,2018). Dominick Vedora, Chairperson of Geneva City Democratic Committee said, “Mr. Henderson’s thirty-three years of experience in law enforcement in Ontario County, his commitment to this county as a hard-working coroner, and his community involvement with over ten organizations and boards makes him uniquely qualified to be our next Sheriff.”
Henderson spoke to the committee about his campaign platform and thanked them for their endorsement: “There’s no place other than Ontario County that I would rather use my law enforcement training and experience to serve others and make a positive difference. I have committed my entire career to working in Ontario County. I am pleased to receive the endorsement and support of this well respected committee. I look forward to working with you now until November.”
Henderson has been previously endorsed by both the City and Town of Canandaigua Democratic Committees.
