Retirement has beckoned for a longtime Ontario County employee. Karen DeMay retired on Friday after more than a quarter of a century spent as clerk of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors.
The Daily Messenger reports DeMay was honored on Thursday, her final board meeting, by Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb and State Senator Pam Helming. DeMay had worked with the county since 1973.
Her deputy clerk, Kristin Mueller, will now assume her role.
