State high school playoffs continue on this Saturday. On WAUB, Auburn hockey will take on Sweet Home in the state semifinals at 4:30 from HarborCenter in Buffalo. Also, Victor will square off against Massena.
In boys’ basketball Far West Regionals today, Clyde-Savannah matches up against Buffalo-East in Class D from Buffalo State College. On the girls’ side, it’s South Seneca vs. Allegany-Limestone in Class C, and Midlakes meeting up with Fredonia in Class B, both games at Rush-Henrietta High School.
In college hockey, Hobart hosts Geneseo in the 1st round of the NCAA Division III tournament. Faceoff is at 7 at The Cooler.
In men’s lacrosse, Hobart travels to Georgetown for a noontime start, trying to extend their 2-game win streak. Also, the Keuka men take on Brockport and Wells matches up with SUNY Delhi. On the women’s side, William Smith hosts Nazareth at Boswell Field at 1, while Keuka meets Elmira.
In college softball, Keuka dropped a pair, one to Randolph-Macon, 11-0, and the 2nd, 8-3 to Frostburg St. They’ve got 2 more on tap for today against St. Joseph’s of Brooklyn and Shenandoah in Virginia Beach.
In the AHL, the Crunch fell to Hershey, 2-1, while the Amerks dropped a 2-1 OT decision to Providence.
In the NBA, Milwaukee stopped the Knicks, 120-112.
